Zagor – Kolor #12: Misija Drunkya Ducka
A mysterious letter turns Drunky Duck’s postal delivery into a dangerous mission. Zagor and Chico help him evade bandits and uncover the meaning of a coded message.
Drunky Duck, Darkwood’s postman, is entrusted with delivering a mysterious letter. An apparently ordinary job becomes dangerous when a ruthless gang takes an interest in the envelope. Zagor and Chico come to their friend’s aid, only to discover that its message cannot simply be read.
Misija Drunkya Ducka combines a pursuit over a letter with the challenge of deciphering a code. The trail leads to methods described in the sixteenth century by the monk and esoteric scholar Johannes Trithemius, known as the Black Abbot. Pursued by bandits, the friends try to reach the woman addressed in the letter and understand its importance.
Moreno Burattini gives Drunky Duck a central role in a serious adventure. Usually associated with comic appearances, the postman is seen from a different perspective, while the story also explores aspects of his past. Friendship matters alongside action and the solving of the mystery.
Bane Kerac’s artwork, coloured by GFB Comics, follows the adventure through Darkwood’s forests and settlements. The episode will appeal to readers who enjoy mysteries in which a small, apparently harmless object sets a dangerous pursuit in motion.
