Rasap

Rasap

Josip Kosor

The second volume of Josip Kosor's Selected Works contains two novels, the first of which "Rasap" was first published in Zagreb in 1906 by Milivoj Majcen and again in 1987 by Privlačica.

The second novel Razvrat was published in Zagreb in 1923, in the press and publishing house of St. Kuglija has not been repeated until now. Both novels in these Works are edited according to the first editions, which are also the last editions of the author's life. The original language and spelling were fully respected, only the two letters gj and dj were replaced by the letter đ, as in the examples angjeo-anđeo, zaradjala-zaradjala, probudjen-probuđen, etc. Otherwise, in the author's legacy, which is kept in the Archives of the Department of History of Croatian literature at HAZU, there are unpublished works (dramas, prose, correspondence, feuilletonistics) that are still waiting for their reception and more thorough expert judgment. The completion of these multiverse Works will therefore, along with Kosor's already known texts, bring together a complete Kosor, a great Croatian writer, who, with his artistic value and literary-historical significance, indisputably deserves it.
