Ivan Aralica rođen je u 1930. u Promini u dalmatinskom zaleđu. Radio je kao učitelj, upravitelj i ravnatelj u školama Dalmatinske zagore, a od 1971. godine kao profesor srednjih škola u Zadru. Bio je politički angažiran potkraj 60-tih i početkom 70-tih.
