"Adrian is a fictional character who evokes a rare affection and warmth in the reader. Through Adrian's eyes, we see what he sees and more, and what springs between the lines is both sad and poignant and hilariously funny. A delight for all generations."
He is thirteen years old and Adrian Mole is tormented by all kinds of worries - pimples, shaky health, parents on the verge of divorce, unrequited love, unnoticed talent for poetry - and he dissects every part of his turbulent puberty in this diary. Adrian sees everything and has something to say about everything. The result is an endlessly witty diary of a young man who gets to know the world and life with all its good and bad sides. Love, sex, family, friendship, school, politics and society are issues that acquire an irresistible bittersweet flavor in this humorous evergreen. Adrian Mole is the most charming and quirky hero of teenage literature.
