“Tko je sa mnom palio kukuruz” (1996) Veljka Barbierija zbirka je autobiografskih i poluautobiografskih priča u kojima autor, kroz humor, nostalgiju i ironiju, opisuje svoje djetinjstvo i mladost u dalmatinskom okruženju.

Kroz događaje koji su naizgled svakodnevni – obiteljske zgode, dječje nepodopštine, ljubavi, prijateljstva i strahove – Barbieri prikazuje odrastanje uz snažan osjećaj mjesta i vremena. U pričama se isprepliću toplina, duhovitost i sjetna refleksija, a centralni motivi su obitelj, identitet i odrastanje. Knjiga je pisana živopisnim, mediteranskim stilom te donosi galeriju likova koji ostaju u sjećanju zbog svoje ljudskosti, temperamenta i topline.
