„Poslednji Mohikanac“ Džejmsa Fenimora Kupera je klasični istorijski roman smešten tokom Sedmogodišnjeg rata između Francuza i Britanaca u Severnoj Americi.

Priča prati engleske sestre Koru i Alis Manro, koje putuju u očevo uporište u pratnji izviđača Hokaja i dva Mohikanaca - poglavice Čingačguka i njegovog sina Unkasa. Na tom putovanju nailaze na brojne opasnosti, posebno od podmuklog Hurona Magve, koji traži osvetu iz ličnih razloga. Kroz brojne sukobe i bekstva, Unkas pokazuje hrabrost i plemenitost, ali na kraju tragično gubi život, čime se simbolično završava era Mohikanaca. Roman istražuje sukob kultura, hrabrost, lojalnost i nestanak indijanskih plemena pod pritiskom kolonizacije. Delo je jedan od najpoznatijih američkih istorijskih romana i često se tumači kao kritika politike prema starosedeocima u to vreme.
