The anthology and commemorative volume S dragih nam polja ("From Our Beloved Fields"), published on the occasion of Pope John Paul II’s third pastoral visit to Croatia, stands as an enduring testament to the historic meeting between the Holy Father and the faithful in Đakovo on June 7, 2003. The title draws inspiration from the distinctive Slavonian landscape and the warmth with which the Diocese of Đakovo-Bosnia (or Syrmia) welcomed the head of the Catholic Church during his milestone 100th international journey.
