"The City Speaks to Me" is a collection of poetry published in 2009 by the Poets' Association "Antun Ivanošić" from Osijek. The work brings together poetic voices connected by a common inspiration for the city, its people, spaces, memories and identity. Through various poetic expressions, the authors bring personal experiences of the urban landscape, recording emotions, memories and everyday scenes that shape the spirit of the city.

The collection was edited by Boris Nikšić and Vedran Rutnik, striving to unite diverse poetics into a harmonious whole that testifies to the cultural and literary creativity of the Osijek environment. The photographs by Zlatko Venus give the publication a special visual value, which complement the verses and create a harmonious relationship between words and images. The photographs do not only serve as illustrations, but also additionally emphasize the atmosphere of the city and deepen the reader's experience.

The collection represents a valuable contribution to contemporary local literature, preserving the memories, emotions and identity of Osijek through poetic expression and confirming the importance of literary creativity in preserving cultural heritage and local identity.
