Tarzan i zlatni lav #7

Tarzan i zlatni lav #7

Edgar Rice Burroughs

In the novel "Tarzan and the Golden Lion," Tarzan adopts a golden lion cub, whom he names Jad-bal-ja. Growing up under Tarzan's guidance, the lion becomes a strong, loyal, and unstoppable ally.

The story begins when Tarzan, returned from England to Africa, learns of the legendary lost city of Opar and its vast wealth. Together with a lion and his entourage, he decides to investigate these stories.

Meanwhile, evil conspirators try to take advantage of Tarzan's absence and take control of his estate. The plot also introduces a fake Tarzan - a con artist who uses physical resemblance to manipulate people and gain wealth.

Tarzan and his party, including a lion companion, head towards Opar, where they meet again with La - the priestess of the lost city, who is still in love with Tarzan. He, as always, remains faithful to his wife Jane. After a series of adventures, battles with enemies and the dangers of the lost city, Tarzan uncovers the conspiracy, saves the innocent and restores peace.

The novel combines the classic motifs of Burroughs's prose: exoticism, adventure, moral clarity and the struggle between good and evil. Jad-bal-ja, the golden lion, symbolizes natural strength guided by nobility, just like his master Tarzan.
