Elin Hilderbrand

Summer has arrived, the beginning of the wedding season on the fairytale island of Nantucket. The wedding of newlyweds Celeste Otis and Benji Winbury will be unforgettable.

The groom's rich parents are preparing a lavish celebration at a magnificent estate right by the ocean. Celeste is a beautiful zoologist and deputy manager of the New York Zoo, while the handsome and successful Benji has always enjoyed the privileges of his privileged family. Coming from a humble family, Celeste will live the life of her dreams and help her parents whom she adores. While the guests enjoy the rehearsal dinner and drink the finest drinks, the real drama unfolds on the beach. Traces of blood were discovered in the sand, and then the lifeless body of the bride's godmother, the attractive influencer Merritt, floating in the shallows. Celeste has a nervous breakdown and ends up in the hospital, and due to the suspicion of murder, the police initiate an investigation. Absolutely everyone is suspicious: the groom's father Tag, mother Greer, writer of detective novels, godfather Shooter, but also the mysterious Featherleigh Dale. Why does Celeste stutter the night before the wedding and why can't she look Shooter in the eye? Are Benji and her really the perfect couple? The dream wedding turns into a real minefield, with an uncertain ending until the very end...
