The book documents the crimes and repressions committed during the communist rule in Croatia, with a special emphasis on the suffering of the Catholic Church and its members. Arranged, wrote the introduction and accompanied it with notes by Juraj Batelja.

The book contains an introduction, a chronological overview of events, testimonies and documents that illustrate the persecutions, tortures and murders of priests, monks and believers.

Special emphasis is placed on the role of blessed Alojzije Stepinac and his resistance to the communist regime.

This work represents an important source for understanding the historical context and consequences of communist rule in Croatia, and contributes to preserving the memory of the victims of that period.
