Zagor LU #344: Sindrom Beelzebul
As a zombie epidemic threatens Darkwood, Zagor undertakes a near-suicidal mission while Chico and his friends struggle to rescue the survivors.
Sindrom Beelzebul concludes the horror adventure begun in Ludens issue #343, Zombiji u Darkwoodu. As the outbreak spreads, places of refuge become increasingly scarce, confronting Zagor and his companions with a threat that demands more than conventional fighting skills.
Chico, Steamboat Patty and their friends concentrate on rescuing survivors, while Zagor confronts the infected horde. Stopping the catastrophe calls for an undertaking that appears almost suicidal. Responsibility and personal sacrifice drive an adventure in which hesitation can carry a terrible cost.
Samuel Marolla uses the conventions of zombie horror to place the characters under sustained pressure. Escape routes narrow, danger surrounds them, and decisions must be made before their situation becomes hopeless. Paolo Bisi’s artwork combines the movement of an adventure comic with the menace of survival horror.
This Italian comic brings Zagor’s courage and protective instincts into a particularly threatening setting. Survival horror and heroic adventure meet in the conclusion of a two-part story, best read together with issue #343.
