Fantomas – Bijeg iz zamke

Fantomas – Bijeg iz zamke

Pierre Souvestre, Marcel Allain

The novel's plot focuses on another daring feat by Fantomas, who this time performs a spectacular escape from a trap set for him by the authorities.

Inspector Juve, with the help of journalist Fandor, devises a detailed plan to finally capture Fantomas, using all the available resources of the Parisian police. However, Fantomas, known for his ability to disguise and unpredictable strategies, manages to escape the trap, leaving behind a trail of chaos, crime and mystery. The story is filled with tense moments, including murders, deceptions and dramatic chases, as Fantomas plays with the authorities, provoking them with his audacity. The novel emphasizes Fantomas' charismatic and demonic nature, depicting him as a master of deception whose intellectual superiority inspires admiration, but also horror. On the other hand, Juve's persistence and moral commitment to justice make him a worthy opponent, although he often remains one step behind his opponent. Souvestre and Allain skillfully build the atmosphere of Paris at the beginning of the 20th century, combining elements of the crime genre with Gothic and adventure tones.
