Zabavne melodije - album 69

The album "Zabavne melodije 69" is a UKH brochure with sheet music and lyrics of award-winning chansons from 1969–70, festival announcements (Athens, Rio, Skopje, Kerempuh 70) and a cover featuring Stjepan Jimmy Stanić.

Zabavne melodije - album 69 brings a cross-section of the Yugoslav entertainment scene from the turn of 1969/1970, with an emphasis on festival hits and chansons from the stages of Athens, Skopje, Rio and Zagreb.

The focus is on authors and performers who marked the period: Nikica Kalogjera with the hits Adio and Prsluk pucam, Stipica Mihaljinec with the sentimental Srebrni brijeg, Alfio Kabiljo with the optimistic Svijet je moj, while Aleksandar Džambazov brings a Macedonian touch (Da nema razdelbi) and the song Zemi momče Makedonče with a recognizable folkloric touch.

There are also pop chansons by melodic masters such as Krešimir Herceg (Sjećam se), Tomislav Melada (Smile a little) and Zvonimir Čulina (Postoji jedna zvijezda), as well as the urban, cabaret atmosphere of the songs Fajront and Autobiography of a horse. The collection is rounded out by the emotional ballads Jednom se iskreno voli, Magdalena and the suggestive Znam da nisi sretna.

The publication is designed as a practical songbook: each composition has sheet music and/or lyrics, making it suitable for both singers and musicians who want to revive the repertoire of the late sixties. A series of compositions are connected by a festival context — announcements of “Athens ’70”, “Skopje ’70”, “Rio de Janeiro ’70” — and a humorous segment awarded at the Zagreb “Kerempuh ’70”, which also gives the publication documentary value. The thematic range ranges from Mediterranean nostalgia (Adio), through romantic ballads (Jednom se iskreno voli, Magdalena), to cheerful, dance hits written for the radio charts.

For collectors and fans of domestic musical heritage, this release represents an elegant bridge between classic hits and more modern pop expressions that announce entry into the seventies. Ideal for anyone looking for proven melodies for performance, wanting to explore the original manuscripts of Kalogjera, Mihaljinac, Kabilja and others, or to supplement their shelf with a representative overview of a very lively musical moment.
