Plavi pilot br.0

Plavi pilot no. 0 is the first issue of Osijek's underground fanzine dedicated to alternative music, culture and the local scene. A rare edition that documents the spirit of the independent Osijek scene before its wider affirmation.

Plavi pilot no. 0 represents the beginning of the Osijek fanzine project of the same name, dedicated to alternative culture, rock music and the independent scene. Created in the tradition of DIY publishing, characteristic of the punk, post-punk and new wave movements, the fanzine was a space for recording events, interviews with performers, reviews of music releases, comments and documentation of the local creative scene that developed outside the official cultural streams.

During the eighties and early nineties, Osijek had a strong underground scene, with a number of bands that were active in the field of new wave, post-punk, experimental and alternative music. Plavi pilot later became an important carrier of preserving this heritage, including through rare cassette releases and compilations such as Osijek poslije bombe 81–91, published in 1991, which brings together recordings of Osijek bands from the period 1981–1991.

No. 0 has a special value because it represents the early phase of the project - a document of a time when fanzines were a key medium for exchanging information, connecting audiences and creating an alternative cultural network. Instead of a commercial approach, the emphasis was on authenticity, local initiative and free expression. For collectors of domestic alternative culture, punk and new wave heritage, Plavi pilot no. 0 is a valuable document of the Osijek underground and a rare example of independent publishing from the end of the 20th century.
