…do na kraj svijeta

On their debut album, *Do na kraj svijeta*, Čuvari svirala present domestic rock with an emphasis on melody and emotive lyrics. The eleven tracks combine the Split-based band’s original material with a cover of "Čuvam noć od budnih."

…do na kraj svijeta (“…To the End of the World”) is the debut studio album by the Split-based rock band Čuvari svirala, released in 2007. Featuring eleven tracks, the album showcases the band’s take on domestic rock—a style defined by a strong emphasis on melody, lyrics, and cohesive ensemble playing. It is an ideal choice for listeners who appreciate songs in the Croatian language and a sound rooted in the classic rock-band format.

The tracklist opens with the title track, Čuvari svirala, followed by Rogovi, Biraj, and Ljubavna sirotinja. This sequence introduces a repertoire that explores personal themes, interpersonal relationships, and a variety of moods. The album functions both as an introduction to the band’s unique artistic identity and as a cohesive body of work, with each song centered around a specific theme.

Also included is Čuvam noć od budnih, a cover of a song by the band Leb i Sol, which links this debut to a well-known regional rock legacy. Other tracks include Put oko svijeta, Tamo gdje sunce, and Ne čuje se glas, while the final segment features Anđele, Dan iz snova, and a bonus track, Sebi i drugima.

This CD offers an opportunity to explore the recorded output of a band active on the Split rock scene. It will particularly appeal to fans of Croatian rock albums from the 2000s and collectors of Croatian music looking to expand their collections beyond the most prominent, mainstream names. A blend of original songs and select covers provides an overview of the band’s musical interests, while the eleven tracks offer ample opportunity for listeners to discover their own favorites and return to the album as a cohesive showcase of the band’s creative identity.
