Zagor LU #319: Ljudi zmije
Zagor, Chico and the Golden Baby’s crew search the Pequot River for the kidnapped Ramath. His final word, “Naga”, points towards the snake beings of Indian mythology.
Ljudi zmije continues the adventure begun in Sjene nad Golden Baby. Ramath’s disappearance launches a search in which seamanship and knowledge of the terrain are not enough. The only clue connects the kidnapping with beings from a distant mythology.
Zagor, Chico and their companions travel up the Pequot River, guided by the word Ramath spoke before vanishing. “Naga” becomes the key to an unfamiliar threat, suggesting something more complex than an ordinary abduction.
Jacopo Rauch constructs a rescue adventure that gradually becomes an occult mystery. Loyalty to a missing friend gives the search a clear purpose, while each discovery raises further uncertainty about the enemy. Bringing Indian mythological motifs into an American setting expands the boundaries of Zagor’s familiar world.
Gianni Sedioli and Marco Verni combine the group’s progress with scenes of tense anticipation. Their artwork gives danger a tangible presence, while the cryptic clue directs the story towards the fantastic.
This is the middle chapter of the trilogy spanning Ludens #318–320, between Sjene nad Golden Baby and the concluding Hram tisuću smrti.
