Mladima

Mladima

Linn Skaber

Norwegian writer and actress Linn Skaber talked to young people about life, pimples, feelings, peace and longing. She used the collected materials to write small texts about big topics - all from the perspective of young people.

"Of course, I didn't manage to capture youth in its entirety - how could I? I grew up and will never be able to be a part of that secret society. But I was close to them, they opened up to me and told me beautiful, touching, funny and sad stories about life in their newly renovated rooms." - From the preface

Youth is exciting, beautiful and fun, but sometimes it can be difficult and moody. It is a turning point in life. You are on the border between childhood and adulthood. Together with others, yet alone. Parents stand on the sidelines and do not understand anything, no matter how hard they try.

The stories are drinkable and fun, but still imbued with the recognizable seriousness of Linn Skaber. The book is beautifully illustrated by Lisa Aisato and is the perfect gift for someone you love.
