Linda Howard

The novel The Woman Left Behind by Linda Howard, published in 2019, combines elements of an action thriller and a romantic drama.

The main character, Jina, works in the Communications and Information Systems Directorate of a paramilitary team, where she enjoys the comfort of a control room. However, after achieving excellent results in tests, she is transferred to the field as a drone operator in the elite ZSS unit. Despite her initial physical unpreparedness, Jina faces challenges such as jumping out of a plane and intense physical training. The team leader, Levi (codenamed Ace), initially doubts her abilities, but over time comes to appreciate her courage and determination. A strong chemistry develops between them, adding emotional depth to the tense plot.
