Život Biskupa Mandića

Život Biskupa Mandića

Adam Filipović Heldentalski

By analyzing the thematic aspect of the biographical poem The Life of Antun Mandić (Pečuh, 1823) by Adam Filipović, we aim to draw attention to its importance in the context of Slavonian literature at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Enlightenment-rationalist component, the desire to be truthful, objective and critical in presenting Mandić's life, and the attempt to outline the social context make Filipović's biographical poem interesting both in a literary-historical and cultural sense.
