Golicave priče

Golicave priče

Honore de Balzac

Tickling Stories consists of 30 short stories divided into three "decades" (décamérons), modeled after Boccaccio's Decameron.

Set in an imaginary world of the French Middle Ages, the stories are filled with humor, irony, and erotic subtext, often mocking social norms, the hypocrisy of the clergy and aristocracy, and human frailties. The characters are colorful—from cunning peasants and deceitful monks to passionate noblemen and witty women. Balzac uses an archaic, almost parodic style of language to evoke the spirit of the 16th century, but at the same time explores universal themes such as love, lust, greed, and power.
