Agatha Christie

"Caribbean Mystery" is a crime novel by Agatha Christie starring Miss Marple, an elderly lady from St. Mary Mead with an exceptional talent for solving crimes.

Miss Marple, exhausted by illness, goes on vacation to a luxury hotel in the Caribbean, specifically the fictional island of St. Honoré. Surrounded by wealthy and distinguished guests, she enjoys peace - until a murder occurs. Retired Major Palgrave, a talkative and somewhat boring old man, accidentally mentions that he has a photograph of a real murderer who got away - but before he can show it to Marple, he suddenly dies. Although the death appears natural, Miss Marple suspects that he was poisoned to silence him. A series of plot twists and another murder follow, and suspicion falls on several of the hotel guests. Miss Marple uses her experience and intuition, comparing the characters' behavior to that of people from her village, to expose the culprit.
