That's why I love the great proverbs collected by Brother David. They speak in ordinary, witty and imaginative words about what happens to all of us in ordinary days and in our ordinary lives. They are not rules for some chosen person, but apply to everyone. We can call them archetypal or mythical. They connect us to our humanity and provide a basis for new thinking about everyday situations.
