Žene, bajke, kraljice – prva je u nizu zbirki priča namijenjenih odrasloj publici u kojoj je devet hrvatskih književnica odlučilo ozvučiti ženske likove iz bajki.

Tako su se našle na okupu dvije supruge Modrobradog (jedna ubijena i jedna preživjela), majka i maćeha Pepeljuge, Guščarica, baka Male sirene, Snjeguljičina majka, majka i maćeha Ivice i Marice, kćerka i unuka Snježne kraljice. Zahvaljujući spisateljskim glasovima Nade Gašić, Julijane Adamović, Nataše Govedić, Vere Vujović, Lade Žigo, Jadranke Pintarić, Jadranke Bargh, Ane Đokić i Aide Bagić, svaka od priča osvjetljava ove likove iz sasvim novog kuta. Gubi li se individualizacijom likova iz bajki njihova moć (koju kao arhetipe svi nosimo u sebi) ili nam se, naprotiv, time omogućuje da i živote likova iz bajki, ali i naše vlastite, prestanemo gledati kao crno-bijelu sliku, na svakome je od čitatelja da sam prosudi.
