Its role in creating an educated and enterprising class of people who later contributed to the development of the economy and society is particularly emphasized. The book also covers the challenging periods the organization went through – wars, political changes and work bans – as well as the renewal of its activities in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. In addition to a historical overview, it provides examples of individuals whom “Privrednik” helped, as well as the broader social context in which it operated.
