Milan Ogrizović - kazališni čovjek
In his book, Ivan Trojan directly defines the methodology and goals of the research, which consist of a contemporary literary theoretical reexamination of Milan Ogrizović's original plays and dramatizations.
In doing so, he starts from the fact that in his diverse literary work he did not express himself only in one specific stylistic stage variant, but rather, in the course of his diversity, he permeated all those features that are characteristic of modern Croatian literature, especially drama: from historical tragedies, dramas with naturalistic and lyrical-symbolistic features, to those inspired by folk poetry and epic creativity. The author observes the connection and integration of Ogrizović's dramatic work into the pluralistic and polycentric Viennese dramatic literature of that time, aware that Croatian drama and theater in the modern era had numerous and fruitful contacts with Viennese theatrical life, finding in it incentives for its own development.
