The collection "Selected Works" by Antun Bonifačić ​​brings together a wide range of the author's works, united in one representative whole. The central place is occupied by his poetry, included in several cycles – Poems (1926), Poems (1932), Poems (1938) and Collected Poems (1974). The poems reveal Bonifačić ​​as a modernist lyricist who connects motifs of the sea, travel, exile, identity, homeland and spiritual doubts. They alternate between a meditative tone, symbolist imagery and a strong sense of rhythm and space, and the fascination with the sea as an existential field of tension and freedom is particularly emphasized.

In addition to poetry, the book also includes his novel "You Will Be Like Gods", in which Bonifačić ​​explores moral boundaries, human weakness and responsibility, building a narrative on a combination of psychological analysis and social thinking. The third part consists of essays, dedicated to cultural themes and figures such as Henry de Montherlant, Ivan Meštrović and Alojzije Stepinac. They reveal the author's intellectual breadth, criticality and inclination towards philosophical reflection on history and national identity.

The collection thus provides a panoramic view of Bonifačić's work – from intimate lyricism to thoughtful prose – and portrays him as a writer whose work is marked by a spirit of travel, moral sensitivity and an ongoing dialogue with Croatian cultural heritage.
