Love and Splendor: A Play in Three Acts by Hermina Tomić was published in 1896 in Zagreb as volumes 198–199 of the Entertainment Library of the Croatian National Foundation. It is a dramatic work that represents one of the rare dramatic achievements of a Croatian writer and women's literature from the late 19th century.

Hermina Tomić (née Prešern, 1843–1915), the wife of the famous writer Josip Eugen Tomić, was an actress and writer. In this play, she depicts bourgeois life, love intrigues, the conflict between feelings and social conventions, and the moral dilemmas of the characters. The work is written in the spirit of realism with elements of romantic drama, typical of Croatian literature of that period.

Although it did not leave a deep mark on theatrical history, the play was noted in its time and performed on amateur and professional stages. The style is conversational, with clearly defined characters and a socio-moral message.
