Zajedno!

Idoli, Film

Together! is a joint release by Idol and the group Film from 1981 on audio cassette. It features the mini album VIS Idoli and the concert recording Film u Kulušiću – Live, a fusion of the Belgrade and Zagreb new wave.

Together! is a special edition that connects two key new wave groups – Belgrade's Idole and Zagreb's Film – released in 1981 on the Jugoton label, in audio cassette format. The concept of the edition is based on connecting two then-current artists: on one side is the mini album VIS Idoli by Idoli, while the other side features a concert recording Film in Kulušić – Live, recorded during a performance by Film at the Zagreb club Kulušić.

The Idols side features six songs: Dok dobuje kiša (in the rhythm of tam-tam), Zašto su danas devojke ljute, Devojko mala, Ime Da Da, Malena and Hajde!, an edition with which the band confirmed its distinctive blend of new wave, pop aesthetics and artistic approach. The concert side of Film captures the energy of the early Zagreb new wave and the atmosphere of one of the most important concert venues of that period – Kulušić.

Together! is an interesting document of the time when the Belgrade and Zagreb new wave scenes were intensively connected through concerts and joint releases. The audio cassette is a valuable collector's item for fans of Idol, Film, and the period when the new wave was changing the face of regional rock music.
