The texts collected in this book were written over a period of eight years. Their first version was inspired by the needs and habits of our academic, journal, and even educational life.
The author, a Croatian philosopher and feminist theorist (then also signed as N. Čačinović-Puhovski), considers in the book the connection between the processes of writing and thinking. The work fits into her early oeuvre dedicated to critical theory, aesthetics and issues of language and discourse. The book belongs to a series of her works from that period (along with Subjekt kritičke teorije, 1980) and deals with theoretical aspects of literacy, the production of meaning and the role of writing in shaping thought. It is intended for readers interested in the philosophy of language, aesthetics and critical theory.
