Borgijina ljubavnica

Borgijina ljubavnica

Sara Poole

The Borgia Mistress by author Sarah Poole is the third installment in the historical thriller series about Francesca Giordano, a papal poisoner in the service of the Borgia family.

The novel is set in the late 15th century, as the enemies of Pope Alexander VI approach Rome, forcing the papal court to temporarily flee to Viterbo.

Francesca, known for her dark skills and complex personality, faces a series of threats that threaten not only the pope and his family, but also the stability of the entire Church. Together with her lover, the ambitious and ruthless Cesare Borgia, she tries to uncover a conspiracy that threatens the very foundations of Christianity.

In parallel with political intrigue, Francesca is haunted by the ghosts of the past. The appearance of a person from her childhood awakens painful memories and brings her to the brink of madness. Only her courage and determination can save her from her inner demons and allow her to protect what is most important to her.

The novel skillfully combines historical fact with fiction, creating a tense story full of intrigue, passion and danger. Through the character of Francesca Giordano, Sara Poole depicts the complexity of the human psyche and the challenges faced by women in a world dominated by men.
