Entomologia Croatica 2007/1-2
Entomologia Croatica, Volume 11, Issue 1–2 (2007), is a scientific journal dedicated to the study of insects, their distribution, biodiversity, and the entomological fauna of Croatia.
Entomologia Croatica is a scientific journal published in Zagreb by the Croatian Entomological Society. The publication features original scientific papers, professional contributions, biographical reviews, and bibliographies within the field of entomology.
Research on the insect fauna of Croatia is particularly well-represented. Topics covered include the diversity of aquatic beetles in temporary pools within Lonjsko Polje Nature Park, newly recorded aphid species, the distribution of ground beetles in Croatian maize fields, and new sightings of the rare woodland butterfly Lopinga achine. Also included are papers on ladybirds, the potentially harmful species Metcalfa pruinosa, and the development of the species Paralisarda malabarica.
The issue contains contributions dedicated to prominent scientists—including Inoslav Balarin, Milan Maceljski, Carl Linnaeus, and Nikolaj Baranov—as well as a bibliographic overview of works concerning the entomofauna of Croatia published between 2004 and 2007.
The journal holds scientific, documentary, and historical value, as it documents research findings on biodiversity and the development of entomology in Croatia. It is intended for biologists, entomologists, agronomists, students, naturalists, and collectors of specialized scientific literature.
