Zagor LU #268: Planine od leda
Zagor and Chico follow Dexter Green into Antarctica, where mysterious presences among the frozen mountains threaten the search for a lost Atlantean city.
Planine od leda continues Zagor’s pursuit of Dexter Green into the most inaccessible stage of his South American journey. Deep within Antarctica, natural danger becomes entangled with the mystery of an ancient civilisation.
Green’s expedition seeks an Atlantean city concealed beneath the ice. Zagor and Chico follow its trail as signs of an unfamiliar threat emerge among the mountains—something maps and explorers’ experience cannot readily explain.
Mauro Boselli constructs a polar adventure at the boundary between exploration and science fiction. The pursuit of knowledge becomes a test of judgement: progress promises an extraordinary discovery while taking the travellers further from safety. A personal chase gradually acquires wider significance in the face of what may have survived beneath the ice.
Raffaele Della Monica’s artwork emphasises the landscape’s immense scale and the vulnerability of human figures. Frozen obstacles and unknown presences create uncertainty about what belongs to nature and what may originate in a concealed past.
This is the middle chapter of the trilogy spanning Ludens #267–269, following Antartika and leading into Ključ spoznaje. It brings the extended search for Green and the Atlantean legacy closer to its resolution.
