Slava je kao mamuza
The book narrates the development of the political career of one man, who goes from being an idealistic fighter for justice to becoming exactly what he fought against in his youth.
The novel's main character is Hamer Shawcross, a poor boy from a working-class neighborhood in England who rises to a high position in British politics. At first, Hamer is driven by ideals of social justice, equality, and the fight against the privileged classes. However, as he rises in the political hierarchy, he gradually loses touch with his roots, adapts to the elites, and abandons the principles for which the people respected him. Through his character, Spring depicts the themes of betrayal of ideals, the corruption of power, but also human weakness in the face of fame – which, like a spur, pushes a person forward, but also hurts him.
The book consists of two volumes.
