Zagor LU #310: Ubijte lorda Malcolma!
Smirnoff frames Zagor for plotting to kill Lord Malcolm. Hunted by British soldiers and Indigenous warriors, Zagor must stop a conspiracy threatening international conflict.
Ubijte lorda Malcolma! concludes Smirnoff’s return, turning personal revenge into a threat to international peace. In the forests of Ontario, Zagor is accused of planning the crime he is trying to prevent.
Smirnoff claims that Zagor intends to assassinate a British nobleman connected with the royal succession. Soldiers and Indigenous warriors turn against him, their loyalty manipulated to serve the conspirator’s purposes.
Luigi Mignacco constructs an espionage western about deception and manufactured guilt. The danger lies not only in the pursuers’ weapons but also in their willingness to believe a convincing lie. Zagor must avoid confrontations that would help his opponent, expose the plot and protect a man whose death could have far-reaching consequences.
Walter Venturi’s artwork emphasises movement, clear action and the tension of pursuit through woodland. Political intrigue remains tied to immediate physical danger, allowing the larger conspiracy to unfold through individual decisions and encounters.
This issue completes the trilogy spanning Ludens #308–310, begun in Osveta Smirnoffa. Its central threat is an enemy who seeks victory by persuading others that Zagor himself is the villain.
