The Wedding Flight is a dramatic work in three acts that depicts the disintegration of an idealized image of marriage immediately after the wedding. The plot exposes the emotional immaturity of the spouses, the hidden motives for entering into marriage, and the social pressures that lead to an unhappy life together. The work has a pronounced psychological depth, Begović's characteristic ironic-contradictory weave, and a critical attitude towards the hypocrisy of civil society.
