Veli Jože

Veli Jože is a literary work by the Croatian writer Vladimir Nazor from 1908. The main character is the brave and good giant Jože, "strong as a bull, with a bushy head", who lives in the vicinity of the Istrian town of Motovun.

Ženski dekameron

The Feminine Decameron is a novel inspired by the structures of Boccaccio's "Decameron", set in contemporary Soviet reality. The action takes place in a maternity hospital in Leningrad (present-day Saint Petersburg) during the 1980s.
